Perfect Match Paint. Wow!
Perfect Match Paint. Wow!
I just recieved my WV2 DG aerosol paint today from Automotivetouchup.com. I test sprayed a couple coats on the test card it came with and took it outside to compare to my car. Unbelievable perfect match! All the metallic was dead on. For $60 I got 12oz adhesion promoter, primer, base coat, clear coat, prep solvent, sandpaper and tack cloth. Their website has a detailed step by step video showing you how to paint correctly (if you don't already know how). For anyone that needs some touch up work or you want to paint your own aftermarket parts. This is the key. I wouldn't $hit you guys, your my turds! I was gonna post pics but it was just starting to get dark. I'll post pics if you'd like.
My driver side skirt and rear splash guards need touched up. If it turns out really good I'm going to tackle the passenger door which was touched up by the dealer with that brush on crap. It's at the bottom of the door and isn't really noticeable, but when I detail my car it drives me crazy. Who knows, I might take the head lights apart and paint the inside. I'll paint my drums , my guitars, both my dogs. You ever see a 100lb obese boxer in diamond graphite? Then I'll stuff him and stick him on the front of my hood like a giant f**kin Mack truck hood ornament! Baller son! That's how we roll down south! Sorry, I'm jacked up on Christmas cookies.

Will do. I plan on doing one of the rear splash guards first and taking before and after shots. I don't want to start with something that I might f up and have to spend a bunch of money to replace.
In for pics! I'm definitely interested in this.
I think my car's previous owner made it a habit of driving behind gravel trucks...plus he left me with some random scratches, here and there, that need to be taken care of. I'd love a full respray, but unfortunately, that's nowhere close to being in my budget right now.

Okay, so here are some pictures of the test card I painted held up against different parts of the car with different light. As another member mentioned, painting poster paper and plastic , metal etc... may have different results. It's too cold right now to actually paint any part of my car as ideal conditions need to be above 70 degrees outside. The test strip was painted using 3 light coats of base and 2 heavier coats of clear. If you decide to do this, practice on some other piece of rubber, plastic or whatever that is not on your car.
