newbie going for a detailing on 07 G35

Got a 07 G35 and want to detail the car next week, searched some thread about what products to use, here is what i will be buying:

Car wash –Poorboys Super Slick & Suds or Meguiar's G7164 Gold Class
Clay bar – Clay Magic or Mother’s
Polish – TBD
Glaze - Meguiar's M-0716 Mirror Glaze #7
Sealant – Jetseal 109
Wax – Meguiar's NXT Tech Wax 2.0
Wheel sealant – Jeatseal 109 or wheel wax
Interior protectant – Aerospace 303 protectant
Quick detailer – Meguiar's G14422 Ultimate Quick Detailer

I have some questions:

1) wax then sealant or sealant then wax?
2) never tried clay bar - is it difficult?
3) compound is same as clay bar?
4) for polish - can I just use soft pads with liquid polish (such as Meguiar's M20532 Ultra Finishing Polish or Pinnacle XMT) or I need to use machine buffer (which I am afraid to try on this car)
5) liquid wax or paste wax?

Sorry for some dumb questions, just never really into detailing...

First off I recommend reading over our detailing guide and our Ask a Pro Blog. Both places have wealth of information that would be extremely helpful to both new and experienced detailers. Now to your questions:

1) wax then sealant or sealant then wax?
Sealant then wax

2) never tried clay bar - is it difficult?
Nope it's pretty easy, especially if you car is not really dirty. Check out the step by step instructions in our detailing guide, linked above. Let me know if you have any questions.

3) compound is same as clay bar?
Completely different. A compound is often referred to as a more aggressive polish. It contains ultra fine micro abrasives (aka polishing particles) that help restore the clear coat to like new condition. Usually a compound needs to be followed up by a lighter polish and pad so the surface is completely optically clear. A clay bar is used before a compound / polish to deep clean the paint.

4) for polish - can I just use soft pads with liquid polish (such as Meguiar's M20532 Ultra Finishing Polish or Pinnacle XMT) or I need to use machine buffer (which I am afraid to try on this car)
A buffer will provide a huge help when applying any polish. It helps work in the polishing particles more thoroughly for a much better result. You certainly can do it by hand but there is limits on the results you can achieve. If you just want to use the Meguiar's Ultra Finishing Polish M205 I'd suggest applying it with a white pad, this kit may be perfect for you - DI Packages Porter Cable 7424XP 4" Basic Kit. It's actually very safe and easy with this buffer and pad. You can't burn the paint and anyone can get professional like results with it.

5) liquid wax or paste wax?
Very similar, usually a paste wax will have a higher concentration of carnauba wax, because carnauba naturally is harder than concrete. Liquid waxes often times have to add more oils so they can stay in a liquid state. The oils often look good but last far shorter periods of time in my experiences. Therefore I generally recommend a paste wax unless you want the convenience of a liquid is fine too.

Two great options here for both kinds:
Poorboy's World Liquid Natty's Blue Wax
Poorboy's World Natty's Blue Paste Wax
