Thumbs up for Meguiar's Ultimate Compound!

so after taking my car in for its 60K service, i let the dealer do the free car wash, BIG MISTAKE!! I used to always tell them not to wash but after 4 years of owning the car, i got lazy and thought how bad can it be. WRONG! they must have used stone embedded cloth cause my OB paint was scratched to hell!!

After doing some research, i decided to give Meguiar's Ultimate Compound a try. It worked miracles! now i wouldn't say the swirl marks and scratches are completely gone but i'd say it's 80-90% better! Plus the paint looks much more shinny/dark after. I only used the compound on the hood, trunk, and front bumper. I did it by hand. My front bumper has clear bra since day one and it had started to look dull and hazed. after the compound, it is now as shinny/dark as the rest of the paint!!

I followed the compound with a coat of Meguiar's Gold Class Liquid Wax and the car looks beautiful!!

LoL, i didn't take any before pics and the after pics would just be a clean *** G! it looks like the day i took delivery 4 years ago!

give the compound a try, it's only 9 bucks at the local auto parts store. i also used it on my head lights, it brightened them up pretty well!

one suggeestion is to use terry towels instead of microfiber for the comound because the microfiber is too soft to work the compoud in and to buff it out. from my experience over the weekend, rub the compound until it's pretty much gone and then buff it with terry towel, and if you want, buff it one more time with mirofiber. follow that with a nice coat of wax over the entire car, i think you'd be pleased with the results.

I've used Meguiar's before and had great results as well. They really make a good product!

the UC have a lot of fillers in it. Be sure to use 10-30% alcohol mixed with water and do a wipe down to reveal the true results.

I love the mild cinnamon smell on the UC. Results are great too.
