Generally those buffers do not have enough power to do a good job polishing. More importantly the bonnets are not effective polishing tools and they are more prone to leave a haze or micro-marring on the paint. A foam based pad is much safer. I highly recommend saving your money and putting it towards a Porter Cable 7424XP Random Orbital Buffer, which is on sale this month for only $114.44. I can't tell you how many e-mails I've received over the years with regards to how disappointed people are when they try a low cost orbital tool.
