Detailer's Domain: Maserati Quattroporte S

This car that was bought pre owned in great shape! Interior, engine bay prepped well, however the customer wanted to clean up the paint not too bad, your typical light swirls and scratches. The customer also requested to debadge the 4.7 off the trunk lid. All in all the customer was pleased with the end results.

What was done -
Exterior

- Wheels were prepped with Sonax Wheel Cleaner and cleaned up with various brushes
- Tires were spritzed down with Adam’s All Purpose Cleaner and washed down
- Wheel wells were cleaned up
- Pre Washed with W99
- Iron X Car Wash was used to remove any iron deposits (not much on this one)
- Wash down and rinsed
- Door jambs were cleaned up
- Clayed
- Dried
- Tires dressed
- Masking
- Paint Measurement
- 2 Step - Menzerna Super Intensive Polish with Uber Green Pad followed by Menzerna PO85RD with Uber Blue Pad
- Inspection with Fenix, 3m Sun Gun, Infratech, and natural sunlight
- Last Step – Autoglym HD Wax
- Rubber and Plastics Treated
- Exterior windows and mirrors cleaned and sealed
- Exhaust tips cleaned
- Windows were clayed, cleaned, and sealed
- Jambs steam cleaned

Engine -
- Cleaned and Dressed

Interior
- Leather Cleaned
- Leather Conditioned
-Dash and plastics steamed and dressed
-Carpets Vacuumed and Steamed

Prep - Wheels, Wheel Well, Tiress Cleaned, Pre Wash, IronX, Rinse, Clay


Wheels were not bad at all no brushes were used, just the wheel cleaner


Sonax Full Effect Wheel Cleaner on the wheels





Iron X Soap Gel used prior to claying


Drying the car down after the final rinse with the NEW Uber No Name Super Drying Towel....


We clayed the windows and the paint



Before debadge - dental floss and 3m adhesive remover were used to remove the emblem. Any hazing/marring was removed with polish


Debadged


Tires with Perls.



Paint Measurement


50/50
Here are a couple examples of what was all over the car, nothing crazy, but enough to annoy most customers that care about their cars.

is a chamois cloth accepatble for drying a car ?

You did a wonderful job, looks amazing , I hope you get at least $500 for all that work. Looks like about 6-10 hours of work.

thanks a chamois is okay but I prefer to use our uber super drying towel.

Chamois scare me because they get so hard when they are dry, check out a waffle weave as well.
