WannabeDetailed: Turnaround of an 07 125k Miles G35X

Detailed a pretty badly beat up G35X a couple weeks ago and thought i'd share it. Between the two panels that were polished and unpolished, the unpolished paint looked almost like a completely different color.

Customer hit me after he bought the car with 118k on it. Previous owner used it as a company car and didn't really care for it, or properly detail in the first few years. Current owner pretty much decided that it wasn't up to his level of care and wanted to get it back looking good again.

Anyways, onto the pics!

When the Car Showed up

Front end was really banged up after 125k highway miles.

Cleaning the Wheels

Shine!

Wash

Bugs were literally BAKED into the paint.

Lots of Swirls, RIDS, and bugs

Paint was VERY dirty.

Taped and ready for polish

Swirl pics Under the Halogens

Polishing Begun!

Bad Swirls

Passenger Side Complete

Outside Checking

Finished!

A very fun 24 hours of straight detailing to say the least, but the customer was very pleased!

Thanks for reading!

Notice a deeper shine applying Pinnacle after Blackfire? I've been using ONR to wash (gives it a great look on it's own) and then Blackfire afterwards. Have been debating lately if I should top it.

Great job!

Yea, usually makes it a bit deeper. People like that shine.
