What kind of leather care material should I use ?

Sorry, I do not know if anyone post this kind of question before.

I took my car to the car wash for detailing today.

Then they told me that they are not longer putting those shine wax on the leather seat anymore.

They said it is not good for the leather.

Is it true ?

I am wondering that what do you guys use to clean your leather seat ? and how do you guys taking care of it ?

Like what brand do you guys use for cleaning (leather seat) ?

and what brand you guys use for leather care ?

I'm sure everyone will have their own choice, there are many good products out there.

Look in this section or do a search and I guarantee you will find many threads covering this topic.

Myself, I have used Lexol for many years. On my G I found 1Z leather care.

it is very easy to apply, and leaves the leather with the original luster and feel. Nothing will stop the leather from eventually creasing, but it will aid in keeping the leather in good condition during your ownership....

I couple shots from sometime back after I did a detail.

You do not want to apply any kind of wax to leather or vinyl seats. The SONAX Leather Foam is a great one step product. My favorite combo though is the Leatherique Prestine Clean and Leatherique Rejuvenator Oil which is outstanding on both leather and vinyl seats. If you want some UV protection the Optimum Protectant Plus (Leather Protectant) and the 303 Aerospace Protectant are my two favorites. g35driver.com members get 10% off with the coupon code 10offg35. If you have any other questions please let me know.

^+1. Leatherique is the best, IMO. It takes a little work, but it's worth it, for sure.

Yes, yes, and yes. Couldn't agree more. Leatherique continues to work weeks after applied. I Love it.

It pays you in the long run, making your leather beautiful again.

Shop around, I had an amazon giftcard i wanted to burn and payed about 60. I'm sure there were better deals if you look, but plan for atleast 50. I got a kit that included some microfibers and a brush that I would give an arm for. That brush is awesome. Kinda like a nail brush but made from some kind of natural bristle with a wood handle.

Buy a spray bottle so you get the oil on there evenly; it comes in a bottle with just a cap and makes it awkward to apply with out a sprayer.

+1 on the leatherique as well.

Instead of the spray bottle, I found it much, much better to apply using a silicone pastry brush. Just dip it in a tub with the leatherique in it and "butter" the seats up. It's much more controlled than spraying it is.

Spraying just got the rejuvinator oil all over items that don't need oil on them, and the stuff is kinda sticky once it dries up.

I use leather in a bottle by zaino and I've tried another brand thats local here but isn't as strong as Leather in abottle..

However, I've noticed that the G's leather overall is alot harder than my TL and 4Runner's leather... is it just mine or is that a characteristic of the G?
