Just a quickie!

I've been pretty fortunate to have some pictures taken of my car by some of our great photographers on our local 350z and G35 message board and I wanted to start repaying them somehow. I've always liked my friend Blackies G35 but being black and knowing how fast black gets dirty, it's never had the shine that only a black car can have. I ended up having a few free hours today so I told Blackie I could give him a mini detail which would just be a wash, clay and wax hence it only taking a few hours. Since I wasn't polishing the car, I knew I wouldn't get it looking as good as it would if it was polished but I figured it would still look really good as it hadn't had this much attention in a looong time. I forgot to take before pics but the paint was for sure tired and didn't have any "pop" to it at all. So the car was washed, clayed and then a coat of Meguiars Tech Wax 2.0 was used as it does a decent job of concealing minor swirling. Then I put a coat of Blackfire Midnight Sun. Here's the after pics, the reflection was AMAZING and for sure had it's "POP" back! I also waxed his wheels which REALLY brought them to life WAY MORE than I thought it would. We were very happy with the outcome considering it was a quickie detail.

There you have it. Not too bad for not even being polished.

those saleen wheels look great... makes me wanna cop a set.

only thing id do if I was him was to get the G35 center caps, have him paint them gloss black but leave the emblem chrome and slap those on... if possible.
