HAIL - HELP
Hi guys and gals,
Well I bought my G35 6MT well 3 weeks ago and have about 700 miles on it. Last night I had the pleasure of getting hailed on and screwing up my car with lots of annoying little dings.
Does anyone here have any experience with paintless dent removal (dent wizard, etc.) vs. traditional body shop work. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks.

Dent Wizard Etc do a great job. If you take the car to a regular paint shop they call the Dent Wizard people if they don't do it themselves and charge you a premium.
Another thing is if they choose to paint the whole car it goes on record with CARFAX.COM.
Good Luck.

They seem to "work the dent out". There is not painting involved. I have seen it done and it is quite suprising. I need to have it done on my G-A-Hole can't open his door nicely. He paid though.

Re: HAIL - HELP
You must have been hit by the same storm I was. I was at a movie with my wife over the weekend, and a storm hit my G35 with hail. No real damage, but a dime-sized dent in the truck deck will need to be removed.
The technique that "Dent Wizard" uses is called paintless dent removal. They access the dent with special tools from behind the dent (i.e. if it's in the door, they typically work from behind the door panel, like a slim jim). A small laser is used to be certain it is being worked out straight, and they carefully work the metal from the backside out to where it was before the dent. It works wonders.

I used to own a F350 Crew Cab Dually, a really HUGE piece of sheetmetal, that was hailed on severely the first week that I owned it. My insurance company had a claim office set up to estimate all the repairs because it was such a huge storm. They had estimated removing the roof and welding in a new one, removing the bed, replacing the hood and fenders.... all said an done $4800.00.
On a whim I decided to stop at a place called the Dent Wizard to get a feel for what they could do. They were TOTALLY confident that they could repair all of my damage and that I would never know that it had happened. They kept the truck for 2 days and when I picked it up it was absolutley flawless! Not only did it look outstanding, but the total bill was only $800.00 and I got to keep the excess money for other mods!!
If it were my car, I would definately go with the paintless dent removal.
