Re: Zaino?

Guess I lucked out when I purchased Eagle One off the shelf without any recommendation. I thought it worked petty good, ... but what do I know??? Glad to see others like it as well. I also use the yellow and gray sponge to apply it as well... wait I think the sponge applicator is Eagle One, maybe that's why I got that tire dressing.... hmmm?

Re: Zaino?

Meguiar's Endurance Gel is the best so far. Smells good too. Just make sure it dries.

Re: Tire Dressing

I completely concur with those who like the Eagle One foam dressing. I have tried a few others, but this stuff rocks! Spray it on, wipe up any overspray and let it dry. I seldom, if ever have any residue throw on my fenders/splashguard area. I check it though and wipe it if it happens.

This stuff allows my tires to still appear "dressed" even after a rain or two.

Really good stuff.

Re: Tire Dressing

I very rarely use Tire Dressing also known as Tire Shine. Tire Shine (especially Armor All) can dry up your tires dangerously and cause your tires to weaken, go flat easier, get bubbles, even blowout (sadly sooner than later). I only use it for special nights i.e. Dates, Weddings, Car shows. etc. When I use it I use Armor All Tire Foam. It's easy to put on, no mess. Just spray it on and it lasts a few days.

Re: Tire Dressing

I like my method of application even more now, than I ever did before. My dealer washed my car yesterday when they gave it an oil change (don't worry it's brushless - no swirl marks). They dress the tires with some really shiny dressing. Today, after I got home I noticed the dressing around the wheel and on the fenders. When I use my method (foam spray, and wipe with an applicator), I don't get any overspray, and my fender stays clean - no mess. Whatever they used is really greasy! Foam dressing is the best, as you don't get any mess, just make sure you let it dry before you drive your car.

Re: Zaino?

Have the Zaino tire dressing- and love it. It does not come in a spray bottle, just a flip top with a sealing cap underneath. It's quite economical, since it isn't sprayed all over the place. Use a damp rag. I suggest putting on any dressing before putting your G to bed for the night. That way it has a few hours to sit and absorb. Zaino recommends it for a variety of applications in addition to tires (all the black rubber trim,...) and claim that it will not dry or crack like silicone based products. It doesn't turn brown like armor-all, and it lasts for a few weeks, unlike most dressings, depending on your driving habits. Highly recommended. Here's a pic, you decide.

Re: Zaino?

I use Mother's Preserves Protectant and apply it with a sponge/foam applicator and it NEVER gets on the fenders or my rims (like the stuff the dealership uses does). It doesn't provide a super high-gloss shine, but keeps them pretty black and seems to kinda soak in- it's not all slippery on the tires. (not that I would ever put it on the tread though ). I can just see where some of those shiny, greasy products would not be too good for tires, but this stuff seems to be great on them! Just my recommendation.

Re: Zaino?

i use the zaino tire gloss and its work really really well and lasts a really long time. it barely has any slinging and if i let it dry for a few hours there is absolutely none. another option people have is to use 303 protectant which i hear is the best tire dressing available.

another tip i have for people is to wait a few hours after appyling the tire dressing so that way it dries and minimalizes the slinging off.

also a lot of people improperly apply tire dressing. people usually apply straight onto the tire without even cleaning first. spray the tire first with simple green, scrub and then apply the dressing. and apply the dressing after your done washing the car.

Re: Tire Dressing

Meguiar's Endurance lasts for about two weeks when applied properly. Apply with an applicator, let dry for an hour and re-apply and wait again. I usually do it when I am putting the car away and let it stand overnight. No problems with it getting on the fenders the next day.

303

other than uv protection, does 303 do anything to the appearance of the tires?

Re: Zaino?

One more vote for the Zaino here. No mess, not too shiny. Just leaves a really nice appearance. Lasts a couple weeks of my normal city driving. Use it on our BMW M Roadster, too, and it looks great.
