hood scratches

So I recently got my '03 G35 Sedan handed down to me, and I found these scratches on the front of my car. Being that I'm only 17 and this is my first car, I haven't a clue on how to clean this up. So far I've read about polishing it? Someone in my family already tried to spray paint some parts of my car because apparently there were other scratches and it looks very spotchy.

And I'm not completely sure if I want to do this, but let's say I want to repaint my entire car, but DIY, rather than going to a shop (I'm 17... no $$$). If anyone could please give me steps or a link to a proper thread or website, that would be absolutely phenomenal.

please help i'm desperate to fix my new baby

Edit: I can't seem to get the image to show up, and I'm also currently not home, if anyone could help me get the image to show up....
sorry I'm completely new here

After some research, I'm wondering if this is the proper order of steps to completely spray paint my car...

Wash
Sand
Tack cloth
Spray Paint
Wet Sand
Polish
Clear coat

?

Just leave it! No paint job your going to do is going to be better then the stock paint. Its your first car, has a few scratches on it, so what? Just drive it. If you do your own paint job, you will highly de-value the car. And the looks

try getting the car detailed first. If it's just surface scratches, you can buff it out.

Or, you can just get the hood a new coat of clear. Have them sand it enough til the scratches are gone. Then hit it with a few coats of clear.

it's gonna get pricey if you do a paint job yourself. especially if you want it to look good
