Zaino Application Questions

I did a quick search and couldn't find my answer.

I was wondering whats a good time to wait before applying a second coat of z-2/z-5 ? I just did my first coat of z-5. I let it dry for 2 hours before removing, now how long do i need to wait before applying another coat?

Any tips and tricks would be appreciated.

Did you add the ZFX cure accelerator? If you did you could go prolly 45 minutes between coats. I've done that.

Yeh with the ZFX, it dries quickly. I've reapplied in 30-45 minutes b4. It's definitely easier with it, and takes the guesswork out of when it's ready for removal.

Incidently the longer you leave each coat on the better the job.

Without the ZFX, you'll have to watch the moisture content in the garage, (or humidity if outside)- it doesn't allow quick drying.

I got some tips from the guy who sold me the Zaino....after applying the z2/z5, wait about 45mins and run your finger on the applied surface. If it streaks, the zaino is still "wet" and if it doesn't, you're ready to remove it. I've just done five coats of z2 and three coats of z5 with zfx. The result is amazing and there's not a better product out there that could leave your car with a shine like that. This stuff is amazing!!!

3 months ago I applied 2 coats of Zaino. When I washed my car this weekend the water beaded up and once it was washed, it looked soooo damn good. I fell in love again.
I hadn't washed the car in like 1.5months! I'm not going to let it go that long again.

I agree. The finger streak test is the best way to tell if its ready for another coat or not. I live in Hawaii and usually don't need to wait more than 15min, but on humid or cooler days, I've used the finger test and saved some time. If you remove the Z2 before it dries, your'e basically wiping it off and starting from square 1.

Generally we leave about an hour between coats.

Don't forget to use your Z6 between coats.

Also I would agree with the streak test.
