I too was dissapointed with tire dressing products that flung everywhere and got my car dirty. But then zaino came to the rescue! IMO this is the best stuff hands down..

here's how I clean and dress tires
  1. Spray degreaser / APC
  2. agiate with nylon brush
  3. rinse
  4. do a finger test, make sure tire is complete clean
  5. if a film remains, I would then wipe it clean with stoner's tarminator
  6. then dry completely and apply your favorite dressing

hope this helps, but I never detailed a car with DWS tires...

That being said if you must have it, Black Magic has a pretty good product that I've always had luck with in the past.
But, so shiny!

All these recommendations for keeping your tires black, you'd think it was rocket science. My favorite was the finger test how old is his sister? If they're clean just apply good tire gel, it doesn't have to cost your weeks allowance....Gary

I don't know what kind of tire shine the dealership used before I took delivery of the car two weeks ago but after several washes that **** is still on the tires.

I also have DWS tires on my car..got them 2 years ago..the sidewalls on the tire have a special coating on them..I also had the same issue with all tire dressings..they would soak up or spin off or evaporate lol...but after about 6 months of driving the tires eventually started taking the shine dre4ssing and now its glossy just the way I like it.

imo, it has just the perfect amount of shine that it doesn't look like shiny armor all'd tires found at sleezy used car dealerships.

That's good to know, as I've only had these tires for about 4 weeks!
