Why Not Clear Bra Entire Hood?

Anyone out there clear bra their entire hood? I don't know why people don't do this, it would get rid of the edge (dirt collecting on the edge and making it visible) and protect the entire hood from cats and whatever. Is it just because of the extra money that people don't do this?

Thanks,
Prolix

Several people have the entire hood done. I have it done also. I prefer it over having the visible line bisecting the hood.

Yes, it is mainly a cost issue. Most of our customers that have this done have cars well over $100k. Having the hood done can cost a good chunk of change. We have done this for Zs and Gs (mine), but customers w/ cars like ours would not want to pay to have that much coverage. In addition, there aren't that many dealers that carry film large enough to wrap entire hoods. (e.g. according to Venture, we're one of several dealers w/ film large enough to wrap these parts)

We do not openly post pricing on parts/installation like these because we've just started noticing that a company or two are imitating us in the types of install we do and pricing as well...........you know who you are.

I believe it was only $100 extra for the entire hood coverage with wrapped edges. The installer was having a G35/350z special at the time. This was about two years ago.

i think 100 extra would be worth having no seam... and its cheaper than repainting in any case...
