Water spot on Work VS-XX wheel

I take great care of my wheels, so I'm really upset this happened.

I was recently out of the country for 2 weeks. My wheels were a little dirty before leaving, so I gave them a quick wash with soapy water. I made sure to rinse them off well, and then I dried them. I put my car away in the garage.

I usually have to dry my wheels twice due to the big lips and negative camber. If not, a small puddle pools up on the edge where the lip meets the face. I only had time to dry them once, and water trickled down and dried on the lips. It looks like it etched into the lip. I can see the outline of the water spot. What is the best way to remove this safely??

After doing some research, it says to not use any type of polish on Work wheels. Instead, it says to use some distilled white vinegar to remove hard water spots.

Has anyone personally tried this method?

subscribed, im curious also, my old vsxx had a small spot also, not very noticeable but I knew it was there.

Never knew how to get it off, and never wanted to attempt anything and make it worse lol.

Subscribed to be ready for my new set of rims.

Before you spray your wheels, have you contacted Work about what they recommend to clean them the best? I've never heard of anyone using vinegar to clean their wheels...

Also, do your lips have a clear on top? If so, I probably wouldn't use that polishing compound.

I know it's a little different but I've used p21s finish restorer with good results. More recently with the chrome trim around my windows that had water spots. Wouldn't come off with regular washing. It took them off easily but it's pretty safe to use. Label says its good for all metals and chrome plastics. Might be worth a try for $10. I've also used it on chrome rims and the plastic center caps.

I appreciate everyone's feedback, but I'm really just interested in knowing what works on this particular brand/model wheel. I'm glad that stuff worked on plastic and chrome, but Work wheel lips are neither, so how does that help me? Not trying to be a jerk.

I'll put some up tomorrow. It's too late and I'm too depressed from the Heat losing tonight.
