I am having trouble cleaning my wheels
Do you have anything more agressive? My wheels look like they have old paint on them or something. At first glance it looks like brake dust but I can't put a dent in them even with Sonax. I am thinking about painting them black anyways, but if there is some way to clean them up first, I'd rather start there.

No I haven't yet. I'll have to check around.
I have a turtle wax chrome polish, basic rubbing & polishing compounds, Meguiars Ulitmate compound, m205, and m95 (i think,,, speed cut compound) I haven't really tried anything besides the chrome polish as I didn;t think these other products wold work for wheels.

OP you have the infamous staining of the OEM rims. Something got through the clear and stained the rims and there is nothing you can do to remove the stains short of re-finishing the wheels. I've seen this happen to almost all of Infiniti/Nissan wheels and don't really know what does it other than harsh chemicals. It's frustrating because the wheel will feel fine, no pitting or flaking of the clear/paint, they just seem to appear out of nowhere.
