I'll be detailing a newer gen. RSX. It's Black Pearl on black leather interior. Stock multi-spoke rims.

I plan to wash it with Meguiars Gold Class shampoo and a pressure washer. Probably spray foam all over then scrub with a microfiber towel. Rinse with the power washer.

I'll get the hard to dry spots with a leaf blower cause I really hate it when water runs sown from random places when you're done. Followed by microfiber towel dry.

Once dry, I will claybar the entire car with a Mother's kit I bought.

Then I'll go around looking for heavy swirls and scratches. Hit them with Turtle Wax He
avy Rubbing Compound with a PC on speed 6?.

Afterwards, wax with Meguairs Cleaner Carbanua Wax in a tin. Most likely with the PC on speed 6. Then Polish with Meguairs Ultimate Polish Paste. With the PC as well.

Mother's Back To Black on all trim parts. Metal polish on rims and exhaust tip.

Vacuum interior. Wipe down with a damp water wet microfiber towel. I want to condition orsomething the interior but all the stuff I have used leave the leather squeeky or sticky. As for the plastics, they're just too shiny or slick and greasy feeling. Any tips on a product to use?

 

I'm not sure about the turtle wax rubbing compound, I have had some for years and it never ever worked for me. Meguiars ultimate compound is about $7-8 and works way better for me for correction. Also, I would use the meguiars polish before doing wax. It seems like the polish will take the wax right off then you'll havbe no protection left.

As far as interior, I just bought some Meguiars quik interior detailer and it works great, very clean, but not greasy or shiny.

 

Cleaner Wax is a non-abrasive polish that chemically cleans the paint. Polish is a chemical that abrades away the paint, and compounding is a heavier version of that. DO NOT use Turtle Wax Compound, it's not suited to a buffer or even by hand IMO.

Use Meguiar's Ultimate compound, and do a small test spot with tape. Then follow with Meguiars Ultimate polish/finishing pad and see if you don't get any holograms by spraying it with 50%IPA and using an L.E.D light or by checking in the sun. After you make sure there are no holograms, then follow with a sealant or wax.

I don't use any protectants on the interior, or if I do I use Meguiar's Natural Shine. For cleaning use Meguiar's Quik Interior Cleaner instead of a damp MF. Also, you should not use metal polish if they are not chrome rims. Most OE wheels are clear coated. Check on detailingbliss.com for a helpful forum on detailing.

you need to actually use dish soap or a citrus wash soap to wash the car and remove any previous waxes (only when following up with polishing).

Then you clay the car (wait to blow dry the cracks as your clay lube will go right back in them)

follow it up with a compound around the car

then go back and polish the whole car

clean the paint with IPA mix

apply your wax/sealant

You have just done a two step process (steps are the number of polishing steps as the rest: clay, wash, wheels, wax, tires, Etc are mandatory)

 

I have only used it on my Ivory G35 and Pearl White Escalade and it seems like it works just fine. I've gotten rid of headlight scratches and some scratches that I never knew were possible to remove. I tested it on the Black Pearl and it might have made it worse lol I have no clue how but I started to see more scratches than there were before. I stopped after one use and just decided to use my Cleaner Wax. I forgot the order and didn't know if wax or polish came first. I didn't do the polish, it seemed like it didn't make a difference in glossiness at all. I'll definitely look into that Meguiar's Quik Interior Detailer, my G35 needs some loving as well. Thanks!

I think I like the Cleaner Wax more than the Turtle Rubbing Compound now haha. I'll also look into Meguiar's Ultimate Compound. I love their products.
I checked the paint and it was a lot of orange peel but that's a factory screw up, not mine
right? I just ended up pressure washing the brake dust off the rims.
Are these holograms? This isn't the car but this looks horrible and I don't know how you could get these lol

 

I havnt washed my G sedan in a couple of years....its probably the cleanest infiniti around!! Meguiars is all i need....mist n wipe- clay bar- cleaner polish- wax...and im good to go!! You cant set anything on my G without it sliding off....oh, and dont forget..."0000" steel wool works great on chrome, just make sure you polish it after words!!!

 

I would go over with a couple of polishes and a sealant before the wax to make it pop. Depends on how much time you are budgeting though.
