Cleaning/Restoring Faded-Hazy Headlights

Hello Everyone,

I am planning on cleaning my headlights to restore it back into its original finish, but there is this clear film on the top part of my headlights and under it is also a hazy part of the headlight. Should I take of the film before cleaning the headlights?

Thanks!

kk

If possible. I definitely would. I had to painstakingly chip away at the film that was on mine before I could get rid of the haze. I tried several products before I gave in and peeled it all off, little by little.

wetsand and buff them...then polish them like you would paint.

then get some optimum lens coating...

How good are the kits you see in stores? Do they really work?

3M makes a headlight restoration kit that is far better than any available! Google to find a location. You shouldn't have anything other than what the factory installed on your headlights, use the kit and you'll be satisfied....Gary
