G35 Head Light problem

Hey Guys, I drive a 2005 G35 coupe and my head lights look horrible, It always turns yellow and ruins the look of my car. I did head light restoration on my car, with turtle wax which I bought from canadian tire but it didn't seem to help. It cleaned my head lights but after 1 or 2 car washes the head lights got dirty again and turned yellow. I was thinking of buying new head lights but its going to be expensive. Does anyone know if this is a common problem and why it gets dirty, or any solutions for this? Thanks guys!

Do a search. There's a complex writeup of a good way that works really well. You'll need sandpaper buffing compound and a sealer I believe

if u want to do it once and have it last a long time do it right, i would follow this, the most important part is a uv sealant

I did mine quick and dirty, 600grit, 1200 grit, wet sanding then polish out with a good polishing compound. I should have given them a better sanding though.
