Protecting our leather...

My coupe is now 8 months old and I've got about 6500 miles on her so far...5500 of those miles being with zero passengers in the car...Anyways I've used Zaino's z-10 a couple of times now to bring back the leather smell and keep the leather soft...My question to all you detailing junkies is...When you apply leather protectant, do you cover the back of the headrests. the sides of the chair and other areas that aren't in direct contact with our body and sunlight??? Ive used the z-10 on the front passenger seats but never in the backseats, I've only had someone in the backseat maybe 3 times in 8 months...Should I be using the z-10 back there as well??? Or should the leather be ok for now since it doesn't get much use??? Lastly, lol do you guys use the leather conditioners on the dash or door panels? Sorry if this has been covered, I personally haven't seen this type question on the board yet...Maybe its because its a stupid question and I'm a moron, who knows...haha thanks guys

I would cover everything that is leather no matter if there are passengers or not. It's not just daily wear and tear that degrades your leather, the UV from the sun damages it too (even with window tint). Besides it doesn't really take that long to do the back seats anyway.

Concur on the protect everything comment. For the Zaino cleaner, they recommend using a soft brush, so I went and bought a natural hair brush that was pretty soft (actually a shoe brush) Holy ........! The amount of grime and dust on every surface was amazing. When I wiped it off with a soft terry cloth I realised, okay, better go over it again. Every seam, perforation and grain in the leather was just covered. That's what cracks and wears leather, as well as UV. I both clean and condition all the leather in the car, including the back seats and the backs of chairs once a month or so, using Zaino's cleaner and conditioner. It's essential for a car with a light interior. Love the Leather in a Bottle- addictive.

Clean all leather and condition it all. You can apply the conditioner a little heavy and remove anything that is not absorbed in about 5-10 minutes or so.

Zain is excellent, I swear they wrung out leather and put it in the bottle. The best would have to be Lexol leather cleaner and conditioner.

I agree on the Lexol. Great stuff. You'll find it cheaper at a saddle/tack shop than at most auto parts & detailing stores.
