Do I Need A Paint Job

Whats up guys, my girlfriend was going to do her laundry, and she decided to pick the damn heavy *** bag her self and try to put it in the trunk. Needless to say she scrapped the laundry bag on the back plastic bumper. Now i took it to the carwash they compounded it, got it totally non noticeable from 5 feet away, however i can still see it. DO i need a paint job, its not toooo deep maybe .01 inch deep, a little more than a surface scratch. Can i get some touchup paint put it on the scratch, then snad it down then buff it out???

From: Long Island
I was visiting Detailing Dynamics on Long Island yesterday and a guy brought in his wife's brand new Volvo XC90 or whatever that station wagaon/suv thing is. When I say brand new, I mean...BRAND NEW, the hood was open and the engine didn't even have dust on it yet, looked like there were under 50 miles on the thing! Anyway, the dumbarse wifey decided to use a scraper to remove the snow off all the glass....which is fine...but then she decided to use the scraper on the painted parts as well!!! THE CAR LOOKED DESTROYED!!! Deep gauges in the damn paint etc. Anyway, they were able to get most of the scratches out (obviously not the gouges). They needed to wet sand and do some high speed buffing then continue to use lighter and lighter abrasive polishes but they did get a majority of the scratches out. I can't imagine your scratches being anywhere near that bad so just find a very good detailer in your area and have them take a look! Just make sure they know what they are doing and you should be fine!
