cleaning brakedust after the rain
anyone have some secrets for cleaning caked on brake dust after the rain has dried it on there??? anything short of a professional carwash. thanks
soak, soap with thick suds, rub lightly, rinse, then rub again and rinse.
I would do this on any condition especially if you have deep dish rims where tar and little pebbles stick to the lip.

try eagleOne A2Z wheel cleaner.
spray one, agitate a little with wash mitt, then spray off with hose. very little elbow grease is need. cleans rims really well.
to avoid getting the brake dust to bond try waxing or sealing your wheels. you can use NXT high tech wax. this will make cleaning your rims even easier.

I wouldn't waster ur time using natural waxes/polishes on the wheels. The high heat that wheels can reach will basically break down the natural wax within days or a week. I would opt for a synthetic wax such as Zaino, REJEX, Etc. These will hold up much better to the high heat conditions. I use Zaino on my car but just tried ReJEX on my wheels and love it! Makes the dust wipe right off very easily! I got mine at pacific corrosion (google it) for $14. Cheapest I found!
