Aquapel

Sorry I usually don't frequent the Detailing Forum, so forgive me if this has been discussed before.

Got an email update from Tire Rack and there was a little side blog about Aquapel Glass Treatment. Has anyone tried this stuff before? Any comments on it?

I,ve tried it and it works well but seems to need reapplication after about 3 months. Other than that it does work.

it works wonders. it's probably the best water repellent i've tried. literally don't need wipers in normal showers here in hawaii. i used to use that in the late '90's. good stuff indeed.

Thanks for the information guys. The only crappy thing is that it would cost more to ship it than to buy it down here. I'll need to check the local shops for some.

Aquapel looks like a great alternative to Rain-X

Aquapel at Amazon
Amazon link to Aquapel $9.99 Amazon link to Aquapel $9.99

Good write up of head to head test, Aquapel vs. Rain-X
Aquapel vs. Rain-X

Just bought a couple and if it works as advertised will stay as my windshield treatment going forward.
