Grease swirls from Zaino

I ran out of clean towels doing zaino the other night by the 2nd coat of Z6 (I did it in the order of ZFX+Z5, Z6, ZFX+Z2, Z6) and the job took so long it ended at nighttime where i was forced to use the poor lighting in the garage. Under the garage light, the car looked perfect, but when i went out driving and parked under a street lamp, i saw lots of thick, greasy swirl marks.. It looked to be either Z2 or Z6 that wasn't properly whiped off right. Tomorrow, when the sun comes out i'll be able to see these grease swirls with greater ease, but am afraid that by then they will be too dry to simply whipe away with a dry towel. What will be the best way to get rid of these? Thanks.

Just go over it with a clean towel and a misting of Z6. Z6 would leave spots if wasn't wiped down. Not "grease." Also, make sure you are using a different towel for Z6 than the towel you are using for buffing. I think you may have had so much buffed residue on your towels, it was just smearing everything.

Due to the poor lighting you may have not realized it but you might have been applying a little too much product. The more product you put down the more you have to buff off, so just double check to make sure theres no oversuse of the products. Sounds like you know what your doing though based on the numerous steps you do in your detail job.

Yeah, sounds like you applied too much product. About quarter of the mixing bottle should be good for 3 to 4 coats. Use sparingly!

A quick wipe down with Gloss Enhancer ought to do the trick of getting rid of the excess. Also, I'd suggest going with the flow of the car (i.e. straight back and forth motions as opposed to circles).

I have also had MUCH better luck using cotton terry cloth towels to buff off the residue than microfiber towels. I've tried all the botique brands of micorfiber, but the plain 'ol terry cloth seems to remove the residue much better every time.

I had a problem with the residue build up too (looks greasy) when the weather was too cold, or the humidity was too high.
