long it lasts? The car noted above was in an accident about 2 years later. The finish was still so 'slick' no prep would stick. Had to completely strip the hood so paint could be applied to match the fender.

how often do you still need to wash your car? As normal. It still got dirty .... bugs wouldn't stick though

good price? Self applied product then & now. You might 'wanna check into 5 star shine if your really interested in teflon finish.

shine? Most EXCELLENT

re-application price? None

recommend having it done?
Yes, if you don't like spending time with your 'baby'. You could also check into Crystal Guard. Different medium - same concept

just a little tip that the teflon itself is not doing anything.

its a pure marketing gimmick. The above testimony is a lie. No matter how good a sealent/wax is it won't last over 12 months. Only Zanio comes close to that figure.

here is a quote from another forum:

According to G.R. Ansul of DuPont's Car Care Products, Specialty Products Division, "The addition of a TeflonŽ flouropolymer resin does nothing to enhance the properties of a car wax. We have no data that indicates the use of TeflonŽ fluoropolymer resins is beneficial in car waxes, and we have not seen data from other people that supports this position." Manufacturers of gimmicky, over-hyped products sometimes claim that their products contain TeflonŽ, hoping that the consumer will believe there is something special about that product. Ansul also notes that, "Unless TeflonŽ is applied at 700 degrees F, it is not a viable ingredient, and is 100 percent useless in protecting the paint's finish."

It's a market gimmick that makes people think it actually protects. Probably some tiny bit percentage actually works from Teflon. I do believe however it helps in application, otherwise it will not at all create a crazy strong barrier.
