DuPont's Teflon commercial

Anybody watch the DuPont Teflon commercial where they applied their teflon products on an obsidian black G35 (2005)? Awesome. In any case, did any one get a teflon coating applied to their car subsequent to their vehicle purchase? If so, would you say that the teflon coating holds up against dirt, hard water, etc. fairly well?

Applying teflon to something like a car is a very short term topical application that will wear off very rapidly. Teflon has to be scintered on to a substrate to adhere long term. It's more of a marketing gimick than a true solution.

I got the Teflon coating by Dupont, I would say no, dont get it. Not really worth it in my opinion. So long as you wash your car and wax it frequently, youll be just fine with out it. Spend that $700 on Mrev+

Dunno about how well it works, but I drive a Black 6MT coupe and work for DuPont (totally different industry though) so that's my favorite commercial these days...

Off-Topic - Which Dupont and which business unit do you work for? I worked at a few before moving on (Zytel, Filament, then fine denier nylon)

I work at OLEDs in the Displays SBU. OLED is a next generation flat screen tv technology. Did basically the same thing for a couple years at Samsung in Korea before moving back to Cali.

I saw that commercial, and it made me so excited for the arrival of my 06 OB that will be here in 2 weeks.

Does anyone know where that commercial is on the web? Dupont does not have it on there website anywhere.
