Tint cleaning

Quick question:

How do you guys clean your tinted windows (inside the car)? When I had the car tinted the installer warned my not to use any products that contain ammonia on the tint, such as Windex and other glass cleaning products.

What do you guys use?

- TIA

Eagle One - 20/20 glass cleaner or Stoner's Invisible Glass are probably your best bet

Stoners for sure Speed! Be sure to use a GLASS microfiber towel. I believe they use a shorter knap then regular MF towels. Paper towels can scratch the tint.

I’ve never used Stoner’s, but I know that Costco sells an alcohol based glass cleaner. It’s in a blue aerosol can and I think it’s called Sprayaway or something like that. We’ve been using it on our cars with tint for years and it’s never affected the tint.

D1, where do I get that "Stoner"...

Also, is it possible to get "stoned" if I drink an ounce or two?

The guys that did my Huper Optik gave me a can of this stuff called Plexus. Its a plastic cleaner, protectant and polish. I have been using it every couple months on my tint, it works well.

Stoner is the best to clean the inside and outside. It is NON abrasive so it wont harm the tints. Not only that, but its by far the easiest to apply and clean. It sprays out foam which makes it easier to spot when cleaning. Pepboys, Autozone, etc. have them. FOr MIRRORS I suggest Zainos one. Stoner, for some reason, doesnt take the water spots from my mirrors. I use Zainos Z12 and those mirrors look AWESOME.

Just looked on Stoner's website and saw this line of products

Which one is the one you're referring to?

Thanks.

i've been using mequiar's NXT glass cleaner. safe for tint and supposed to reduce the amount of hazing that occurs over time on the interios glass. i've noticed a definite improvement on the front and back windshields.

After I use stoner, I have no haze inside or outside for a long time. After trying stoner, I dont think Ill try anything else. I am 100% satisfied with it. Foam as aplication is a great plus to it.

For mirrors, again, I use Zaino's its the best to remove those hard water spots on them.
