Trunk lid has swirls...

What is best to remove them? I used Zaino for the first time yesterday and am really impressed. But the swirls on the lid are killing me.

I did the following:
Z1, CLAYBAR, Z5, Z6, Z8

Suggestions?

Since Z-5 is a swirl mark concealer, I would say keep on layering that but if the swirls are really bad, I would recommend you stripping the zaino then using swirl mark remover #39009 to remove them. Whichever method you choose, good luck and get some tire shine

I would wash again and use a good polish with an orbital to remove the swirls. There are a few products that come highly reco'd on here. I just did my car with the 3 step system from www.detailingdynamics.com but others have used p21s or meguirs products. Once you use a polish (essentially light abrasive), you can wash and follow up with Zaino.

In regards to your post, you said you put on Z1 before claying? I believe Z1 (if you are not using ZFX) should be used after claying. With Zaino, the Z5 is just a concealer so you may want to put on several coats of Z5 - 2-5 maybe and then follow up with Z2 Pro. The shine will be insane. Of course you will have to do this over the course of a few days or weekends. I believe with Z1 you can only put 1 coat a day on but I'm not positive. With ZFX added to Z5 or Z2 you can put 3 coats per day. ZFX should only be used 1x a year for show cars and 2x's a year for everday drivers. I would remove the swirls so you can start with a perfect surface. Then do 1-2 coats of Z5 (shouldn't need too many coats if you polish the car first with an orbital and a good polish), then 1-2 coats of Z2 Pro with ZFX (total coats of Z2 and Z5 with ZFX in one day should be no more then 3). The following weekend or day you can add another coat of Z2. Same the day or week after! You will get stellar results!
