One of the reasons why you see so many silver/gray cars on the road is because the color holds better than anything you'll find. I'm not just saying that because I have a DG. My 2001 Nissan is white, and I've owned a pearl Saab, a black Mustang, and a cherry red acura. IMO, Silver/Gray is the bast bang for least visible scratches, hottest look when detailed.
Jet Black is in a class all by itself when it comes to perfect conditions, but silver/gray is the easiest to keep looking sharp. I say this from experience.
