cobwebs
cobwebs
I have a black G. Black is sweet, but of course, very difficult to maintain. Anyways... I got some bird crap on the car and someone bumped my door and I got some of their paint on my car (inconsiderate a$$holes...) so I decided to apply some wax to the affected areas to shine her back up. I used MacGuirres cleaner wax and I got like cobwebs (swirl marks) where I used the wax. WTF. I thought that the wax was supposed to get rid of that stuff, not make them! I followed the instructions to a T (let it dry for about 15 mins, etc.) Any ideas on what I did wrong?

Re: cobwebs
Balck is a bitch man. I try to not use any circular motions when I am doing anything to my black beauty. I'm extremly afraid to wax her. I would make sure that you use extremly soft towles/cloth when doing anything and also make suure that the wax your using has no abrasives or anything like that. I really dont know much about the cleaner wax that you were using but I'd check out what it says on the bottle. there are some techniques to remove swirlmarks but I dont know what they are off the top of my head. Check the upkeep forum and see if you can find anything. good luck hope you can get them out.
