Clear Bra - Do it yourself - $164

http://www.chipguard.com/us_ret_infinity.htm

Anyone know how difficult it is to do the installation? Appears to just take a bit of time and patience, what do you guys think? I'm thinking that for $164, I can afford to screw it up and try another 3 times before I'm losing money!

Is this company a good one to buy the guard from? Is this what the clear bra installers are using?

Know where to get a full kit and how much they cost? In my experience, Infinitis only really chip on the hood, so this kit is better than nothing. I'm also betting a bumper install would be a real bitch.

chips on the hood may seem a bit more noticeable at first since they are higher and stick out a bit more, but the constant daily sandblasting that the bumper goes through being so much lower to the ground will eventually stand out much more than any chips on the hood, I would recommend protecting your bumper first if possible, you will be much happier in the long run. I would also recommend against trying to install a G35 hood yourself if it is your first time, it is probably the most difficult hood to install other than a Lexus SC430, and even if it were an easy install, I have never seen anyone install a kit correctly right on thier first try(me included!)
if anyone has any other questions about paint protection drop us a line!

I wouldnt try to install the kit yourself either. You need a trained installer that knows what they are doing. $164 might seem cheap, but once you try an install it you wil find yourslef diggin into your pocket time and time again.

Money is not everything since I assume they are not covering much of the car. We sell a comparable kit to Xpel and StonGard as far as material is concerned for $350 which is 30% less than them and we would never recommend anyone trying to install a kit like the G35 on a car.

When I had my car done by a professional installer (Edre at Envisage Design Labs), I was there and observed the entire process. I will say that it is not something you want to attempt on your own without previous experience. I am glad I had mine done professionally and definitely worth the extra cost.

Edre from Envisagelabs did my clear bra as well and I can say
it's not something that I would attempt w/o considerable
practice. I definitely suggest a professional.

Without experience and training, you will not be able to install it correctly. Here's a good exercise for you to try before you even bother attempting to do this on your own.........................take a piece of regular printing paper and place it over the bumper................you'll notice how the paper doesn't form to the arc of the bumper......this is what will happen when you put the clearbra on the bumper............if you know how to get it down, then you're qualified to install. Otherwise, it could take you several orders of ClearBra and many many hours of labor..........not to mention the frustration of trying to do this on your own and then having to go to a professional shop to have it done............by that time, you would've spent over a $1000!
