Quick question about cleaner wax. . .

Hey all,

Its about time for me to polish off the old wax and start a fresh coat. I used mothers pure carnauba wax (which I will use again) but was curious if anyone has any recommendations for a good cleaner and/or polish to use first. Thanks for the help!

Zanio is another good choice, that many people here are using. I don't use it but I hear it is good.

Re: Quick question about cleaner wax. . .

Why do you need to use a cleaner wax? Do you have water spots that need to be taken out? You can use a clay bar for that and to get rid of any rough spots on the paint. If you are just trying to strip off all wax before you re-apply, then simply wash your car with Dawn.

As Rick suggested, you dont need a polish unless your paint needs some work, such as water spots and swirl marks.
If not, then just use Dawn dishwashing soap to wash your car, then IMMEDIATELY follow up with an application of your mother's Wax.

(oh, im not referring to your mom's leg wax)
