Gum Removal off of BUMPER!!!

Guys I need help...Today my girlfriend noticed that I had gum strung along the lower part of my rear bumper...I tried picking it off with my fingers but it wouldn't budge...My next instinct would be to give the car a wash, but I just tore my acl in a game and I cant fathom trying to wash a car...So I did the next best thing IMO and tried using my zaino z6 detailer...It took the gum off (although it was a struggle) I felt as though I was ruining the paint...My car is IP and the gum is off but it left a black cloud mark in my paint...I cant get it out, was it to abbrasive and it scratched the paint??? This black cloud is visible and its bothering the heck out of me...Anybody know of anything I can use to get rid of it?? I guess if I really need to Ill try and give it a wash...Any insight would be greatly appreciated...

Pictures would be very helpful for me to diagnose this. Is the mark above, below or at the clear coat? Are the black marks pieces of gum left behing or scratches in the clear?

WD-40 should work. If it doesn't you can try 3M gum and adhesive remover or before u buy that, try keeping an ice cube on it for a while and it should flake off. Just gonna have to do a lil section at a time.

Thanks some close up pics would be great. If it's not any gum left behind it may be scratches, but if they are black then that makes me think it went down to the primer. If you went down to the primer then you probably were a little to aggressive but that shouldn't happen on such a new car with just polish. However I've read many compliants on here about clear coats that are thin or non-existent on G's. Hopefully it's just some scratches in the clear that can be buffed out with a little time and patience. I can give you some good advice about how to handle this after I see the pictures. If you could provide anymore info about what process you did exactly that would be good too.

Ya, definitely need to see it. I had a similar problem with some gummed up bird crap on my old coupe and eventually had to use an abrasive scratch remover with a PC to buff it out.

"Goo Gone" works wonders...try it, its a citrus cleaner.
I used it to get rid off the gunk left after I took off emblems.
