My 2nd Crystal Gaurd App
Last night I washed my car, applied CG-quick, dryed the car, and put away everything and cleaned the driveway, all in 45 minutes! I did alot of touchless buffing with CG, but man it was worth it!
My application process:
1) washed the car with carwash soap, make sure to keep the sponge clean and free of debris.
2) mist the entire car with water.
3) work with CG one body panel at a time. spray CG 2-4 times on the panel, lightly spread it on the entire panel
4) keep spreading and wiping (with microfiber cloth) that same panel another time until it is almost dry....key word: almost.
5) do this to the entire car (minus the windows)
6) whenever your microfiber cloth is drenched and you need to wring it to remove the water.....do it over a body panel, such as trunk or hood, i do this because i want to be sure that im using every last bit of CG because its so expensive!
7) lightly mist the car again with water.
8) with that same Microfiber cloth, wipe the entire car again, be sure to use the same wringing method as before.
9) the car should be almost dry now, wipe excess water off of the windows (I dont apply CG to windows because i use RainX)
10) lightly pat dry the car with a dry microfiber towel (to minimalize wiping)
11) dont forget to dry your wheels! I did not apply CG to the wheels...again, the money factor plays a big role here.
Overall i used maybe 1/10th of the entire bottle. The directions say that it will cover 5-7 applications....Im extending it to 10! wooohoooooo!
The surface feels so smooth, like butter! Reflects like glass!
Another thing i've noticed, I dont know if its me or what, but the diamond graphite paint seems to have gotten DARKER since the first 2 weeks that i've owned the car....(had it for 2 months now) So it seems like the paint really does need to Cure completely from factory.
Note: My first CG app was when i first got the car, so its been exactly 2 months.
Anyway, here are some pics from this morning.....Enjoy!

Re: My 2nd Crystal Gaurd App
Thanks for the step by step bro. Sure looks effective, too.
Your guide will be helpful to others who use CG.
I know what you mean about the paint darkening over the first few months. Mine seems to have darkened too. Don't know if it's curing or more coats of Zaino, CG etc that makes it look deeper. Impressive.......
