Help- I bought Black!

I have no excuse- I even owned a black car before, but it looked so damn good! As you can guess, it gets dirty instantly. I'm using 3M wax and it works great, but I'm wondering if there is anything that might 'shed' dust significantly better? I'm not one to spend hundreds of dollars or hours- rather be driving, but I'm open to suggestions. Zaino? CG? FWIW, the 3M stuff makes the car look fantastic! It just gets dirty quick. Finally, ditto for the black interior. Thanks for your help

Congrats on the ride bro. Nice hobby too, but then you know all about that. I'll bet if you Crystal Guarded your nice new Black G it would look so sweet.
A California brush or quick detailer between washes work great too. G/L with your new ride.

I CGed my car as soon as I got it... looks AMAZING on black. Use a cali duster to get off the dust- CG is pretty hard and dust comes right off...

I thought it might look great on black. But dude, your ride isn't in the Rides section for us all to see. Please post some pics to show that great shine off.

LOL... damn, I was hoping to avoid that. Now I've got to go spend my day cleaning, buffing, shining, waxing, etc. to get PJ (yes, my G has a name) ready for the photo-shoot. Maybe I'll cheat and use one of my free details from my dealer

I use the Cali duster from time to time. I noticed that it leaves streaks of wax that the fibres are coated with. sure it eats up dust, but what it leaves behind is little gross.

Re: Help- I bought Black!

Try Blackfire products. I have and I am really happy with the results. The shampoo is great, the polish is a good swirl remover and the paint protection adds awesome gloss without that plastic look. After washing, I spray on the gloss enhancer spray it looks like I just waxed it again. Zaino seems to attract dust from what I have seen.

You guys are braver than I using that Cali Duster! To me, that thing has swirl mark maker written all over it. But, if it works for you then go for it.

Re: Help- I bought Black!

My experience with Zaino is that it doesn't attract dust like carnuba wax does. If you use the Z6 spray, the dust that eventually collects will blow off when you drive. Now that the polish has been reformulated for better gloss and hides swirl marks better, I'll never switch to anything else!

Re: Help- I bought Black!

I am in the same boat, I bought the black one as well. I just used the Zaino system this past weekend and it is absolutely fantastic! I did not have to clay the car, just wash and one coat of Z5, Z6, Z2 then Z6. The car looks fantastic and the dust really does blow off when you move the car. I am in Florida, so I was thinking the humidity would not allow the dust to blow off, but sure enough the dust does disappear

Re: Help- I bought Black!

One never makes a mistake buying a black car. Black cars look THE BEST when they are clean and t is a great color that you can NEVER get sick of. Also the black on the G makes it look smaller and less long than the other colors. So it's more of a sporty look . Also, anything matches black and the tail lights look better on the black G than any other color.. ESPECIALLY RED (not saying that the other colors arent nice though, my next 2 favorites are the CB and DG.

Thanks - Joey Avino
