Perma Plate

I was at my local Mercedes dealer when I picked up a brochure for Perma Plate paintguard, fiberguard, and leatherguard. The brochure makes this stuff look really effective, but I'm wondering if anyone here has used it. If so, is it as good as they say it is (or is it good at all)?

I'm too cool for a signature.

Re: Perma Plate

most are gimmicks, be careful with those, especially the paint gaurds.

The fibergaurd i can understand.....its like that water repelling stuff that they put on sofas, basically a teflon spray

Yeah, the fiberguard and leatherguard are the ones I'm interested in. I'd go for the paintguard if it's good, but I already have my small, EXPENSIVE bottle of Crystal Guard. =D

Perma Plate is really a teflon sealant, which can be purchased at your local auto store. We work with dealerships for paint protection film and the perma plate, touch-of class, etc, are their most profitable option.........many dealerships charge some $800-$900 for such protection.

i got perma plate done coupe of months ago. I think it was the biggest mistake of my life. Aside from my ex-girlfriend.

It was expensive and to be honest to you. You never know if what they put on is really perma plate. They say it is, but that white crap in the bottle could be some meguiar wax. After that experience, i've decided to wax the car myself and not trust anybody. I got the full perma plate package for 200 bucks.

I used of kept that for the Lap Dances instead, it would of been more effective.

The perma plate I use is called Zaino. A couple of coats and you're good to go.

Anybody wanna buy a bridge.......? lol...I can't believe it....don't forget the rustproofing. But don't take my word for it, I've only been in highline auto sales 30 years.
