help ease my pain...

well in a month or so i'm moving from a garaged spot to a parking lot!!!
i'm very **** about my car and detailing and always keep it garaged when not driving or oogling over it...but now i'm moving to a city like environment where i'm most likely going to have to be parking on the street or in an outside parking lot. to make things worse...i'm obviously not going to have my own hose or anything like that to wash and detail like i'm used to. ...lets not even mention the safety factor involved.

please tell me its not going to be that bad
thanks
Andrew

PS: moving to Manayunk (city like spot outside Philly)

Hopefully it's not as bad as you seem to be expecting. One tip I can give you from someone who has to park outside 24/7 is to keep a good quick detailer in your car. Inevitably there will be some bird droppings on the car that can etch in to your clear coat or smear on the windshield. I keep the Poorboy's World Spray and Wipe in my car all the time just to handle the unexpected things that come up with leaving your car outside. One big downside to the city life is that it's much harder to find an area to detail your car. Therefore a product I have come to love is the Menzerna High Gloss Acrylic Shield. When the car has a good coat of sealant on it and I have just washed it I spray this product on to give it the freshly detailed look and extend the life of the sealant. It leaves an amazing shine that I have not seen any other spray on product able to replicate. Good luck and let us know how you make out with the new environment.

Andrew,

Yunk isnt too bad, although you will want to invest in a nice alarm just to be safe and to let all the lil city rats know that your ****t is protected!!!

As for keepin it clean, id say your best bet is to find a good place in the burbs to take it too and spray it down yourself...most places around there u can get unlimited time for about $5 or so...
