Liquid tar on my white G
Liquid tar on my white G
Help!! A paving company is laying pavement on the driveway leading to the company office. When I pulled into the entrance I accidentally drove over this like tar liquid crap that they lay down before they actually lay the pavement. Anyway it splashed and got on my white G near the wheel wells and on some of the exterior of the car. What can I use to take it off? I'm guessing WD40 or tar remover but I'm stuck inside the office for now..
If I can't get it off myself, I'm callin their business office.. It's not my fault, the stupid worker that was directing traffic didn't tell me to go on the other side of the cones wtf!
Thanks for any input

Bug and Tar remover, or if it's being really stubborn then use gasoline. But wash it IMMEDIATELY afterwards (do the whole zaino deal). Leaving it on there would harm your paint, but using BT or gas and then washing it very soon after won't harm your vehicle. Only use the gas if the BT won't take it off though.
Ivory,
I just had the same thing happen to me -- really set me off.
Get yourself a bottle of the Turtle Wax Bug and Tar Remover. It comes in a handy pump spray. It works great. Just spray on and wait about a minute and it wipes right off. WD40 works too but you need a bit more elbow grease.
I also found that Clay bars don't do a darn nothing in this situation.
Good luck,
G

I found that turpentine works well with removing tar/grease from paint and interior. I have a brand sold at Art stores, (Pearl paint), its low odor and works excellent in cleaning such types of spots........WD 40 also works well, in either case, rewax the area you clean......
