I looked thru the owners manual and didn't see anything about whether the car had a clear coat or not. The only reason I ask is because with my last car certain colors did or did not have a clear coat. I have to get a different Zaino polish if my coupe has clear coat.

yes it does. Read page 7-2 in your manual. Mentions "use wax only specified for use over clear coats". No abrasives.

 

Look also under your hood by the emmisions label

I believe all the G's are clearcoated.

sometimes black paint jobs are shot with single stage paints.

my 93 rx-7 twin turbo had a single stage black paint job from the factory. A single stage black paint job can look unbelievably DEEP!
