Sand Blasted Bumper
So I was heading home from a road trip through the Nevada desert and got on the gas for a while. I admit, I was going much too fast and much too long then I should have. When I got home I realized that the sand in the air did a number on my front bumper. It looks a lot duller looking on the bottom half, not to mention the thousands of small scratches. I can feel all the bumps and scratches when I run my hand over it. What steps should I take to try and get it back to normal?
Thanks.
Thanks.
If it's sand blasted, go to a good body shop to see what they can do to save it. If it's only superficial, they can polish it out without costing you too much. If the clearcoat and color are too pitted, the only solution is to re-paint the bumper. Since it's plastic, blending it perfectly may be a slight issue, but anyone with experience can do a really good job.
