Don't use an orbital/buffer if you do not know what you're doing.. It make cause burn marks!

I usually just use a applicator pad and generously put the NXT on. Let it sit for a while for a gooood bit... and take it off.. It's not that bad, stuff comes off EASY.

I'd agree, don't use a buffer, but with a PC 7424 (Random Orbital Buffer) it's pretty much impossible to burn the paint or put in swirls. www.Meguairsonline.com has some great how-to vids on using one. Or ask here.

My recommendation is if you don't mind spending the time to make your car look good, a PC7424 is a great investment. You can buy a PC7424 for around $200, about the same as what it will cost you for one professional detail.

Totally agree - and if you're lucky enough to have a Lowes nearby you can actually get a PC for under $100.

Looks like you guys beat me to it. I have never heard of this NXT before. I just saw it in Walmart for $13 a bottle and decided to try it. Wow! And to think I used to pay triple the price for the Zaino stuff. Forget that crap. The NXT is better, easier, and way less expensive.

Thanks for the link, but dont really need it. With the NXT, my black sedan looks better than ever with just a 100% cotton Cannon towel and an hours work.

I just put my first coat of wax on the car, Meguire's NXT. Looks good! Does anybody know if this stuff contains fine polishing compounds as well? I hope not, but it does say "removes fine scratches" which makes me nervous...

Autozone, Advanced Auto, I think Target and Wal-Mart may also carry it.

It doesn't contain abrasives - it has fillers which fill scratches, but will not remove them. The wording is a little misleading because when the NXT washes away the scratches will re-appear, but in any event it only has chemical cleaners, not abrasives.

Wax on wax off..................

A good friend showed me a trick several years ago
and I'll share it with you.....take whatever liquid wax
your using and drop a small amount on a chunk of
styrofoam. If the styrofoam melts don't use that $hit on your paint! I like NXT and use it on my workbench surface. On my cars I use only Zymol
from the clay, cleaner and finally Zymol Concours
wax. Meguires makes good products but it doesn't
come close to Zymol.
