I have these scratchs that all seemed to appear at the same time =\ i have no idea who, or what could have caused these because they where so random and spontanious, anyways i have some pics to show them, im not sure if its something i could repair on my own or if it would be best to take it to a detailer...

thanks for the help

and here is something that has been there for a while - again not sure how i could have possibly done this, but o well - how could i repair this? dealer says id need a new door panel so i said screw that:

the scratches on your paint are minor and any detailer should be able to remove those quickly. or you could try it yourself. As for your speaker grille trim, that needs a repaint. If you can remove it, then just rattle can it with a close match. To protect it from happening again I'd suggest laying a couple layers of clear on it as well (also rattle can).

Try waxing those spots...may come right out after some elbow grease.

A wax won't remove them, but it might fill them in enough that they don't bother you. You could also do it yourself witha tube of ScratchX (any local auto shop) - or as FF mentioned take it to a detailer. Those scratches will come out easily either way.

Looks like the scratches could have been caused by an animal. Possibly cats fighting for the best spot on the top?

Good luck with the removal.

Should be simple to remove or atleast significantly reduce before you bring it to a paint shop. For $25 get the Poorboy's World SSR 2.5 and the SSR 1.0. The SSR 2.5 is a medium abrasive polish that will reduce a micro thin layer of the clear coat thus buffing out the scratch. Then follow it up with the SSR 1.0 to ensure there is no haze left behind and the surface gloss has been restored. Both steps work the same exact way. Just work the product in a circular motion and remove with a microfiber towel. These simple two steps work great by hand or with a buffer. I do this type of work professionally and I often do it by hand just to take care of one single spot. I prefer to apply it with a clean microfiber applicator pad if doing it by hand. You can do this to your entire car if you want to reduce all the swirls and scratches.

If you pass your fingernail across the scratches, does your nail "catch" on the scratch?
If so, the detailer might not be able to remove the scratch if it is too deep into the primer coat of paint.
From the looks of the pics, I don't think you would have any problems getting the scratches out.

Try some Meguires Scratch X like Picus112 suggested. It works very well.

Good luck,

Bill

Just to back em all up those are removable, but only a good detailer will finish the job right and make sure you have no machine marks left when finished.

ScratchX has a filler so it will fill the scratch in (as much as it can) and some waxes do the same thing. However, the minute you use a cleaner or wash your car the scratches re-appear as you have just remove the filler. I would honestly buff them out the first time instead of filling in the scratch. Follow Punchit's idea. I heard great thing about Poor Boys' line of swirl mark removal solutions. I personally use meguiars #83 cleaner/polish on a porter cable to remove those marks and follow that up with nxt wax.

It's pretty much darn impossible to keep your daily driver in showroom condition everyday. I mean, you could if you detail the car all the time but that's not good for the clearcoat.

What I would probably do is buff out all the scratches/swirls you have now, put on a good sealant, top it off with a good wax, and wash your car with a proper wash mitt using the 2 bucket system.
