Cleaning Pillars

I noticed a small dirt/grease mark on the velour material on my front interior window pillars. What do you guys recommend to clean it? It looks too delicate for any scrubbing.

I use a product called Stain-X for carpet and upholstery. Works great. You can find it where they sell carpet cleaning supplies.

Re: Cleaning Pillars

its actually pretty tough. somebody was smoking in my car and actually hit the cigarette on the A pilar and left a nice black mark. I took a wet paper towel and scrubbed with moderate pressure (not too hard) and the ash stain came out easily.

Re: Cleaning Pillars

That Stain-X stuff sounds great, I'll have to try some. I've had good luck with Oxy Clean the one time I tried it. I used it on a '95 used car for my daughter that I recently bought and sold and it worked great. I got out about 50% more of the carpet stains than the dealer did when they shampooed it when I bought it. I used the Oxy Clean wipes then but have since purchased the little tub of the stuff since it worked so well. Never know when I'll need it for something else.
