For the rims, I just use a sealant/glaze on them. I use Klasse AIO (All-in-one). Supposedly, it should make removing dirt/grime a lot easier. I haven't cleaned my rims yet due to the crappy weather in SoCal.

I do the same as twantrd and just seal/wax them whenever I do the car. I've tried Michelin Brake Dust repellant and it works pretty well, but no better than a layer of wax/sealant.

For cleaning I use duponts spray on/spray off wheel cleaner - it's very light duty, so not for excessive brake dust, but I use it every time I wash so I never get a lot of build-up. Any wheel cleaner is probably ok, although I would stay clear of anything with acid in it, I only use those on really wrecked wheels. Single green is ok, but make sure to dilute it quite a bit (10:1 or more).

Cheers.

yea thanks guys i think i'll try klasse aio. is it for metal specifically? or is it for all paints? also, where did you buy it?. I want to do the wheels prior to install for ease. as far as cleaning them i will just use car soap and water with a sponge glove dedicated to rims only. But let me just say that this stuff SPARKLEAN, shinned my tail pipes and muffler can to a shine better than when i first bought it. I took pics on before and after but they dont do it justice. I will post them tonight sometime anyway on the thread i started regarding it. thanks RX

There is a product called 'WheelWax'. It is supposed to be pretty good.
You can purchase it on everythingg35.com WheelWax

AIO is pretty common, you can find it at most online shops (pakshak.com, autopia-carcare.com, etc...) and some local auto parts stores carry it. It's actually a light polish with chemical cleaners and a sealant all-in-one, hence the name. People mostly use it on cars to remove very light marring and clean the paint up nicely, but it works on metal and on interior wood trim too. Cheers.

I use AIO when I polish my car, but as a cleaner not a sealant. I normally just use wax on my wheels but AIO will work well too.

Ok thanks. I went with BINARS post and purchased wheel wax on everythingg35. I figure just to stick with something only for wheels just in case that with extreme bad luck something happens to the finish. although i once used a mag and wheel cleaner spray on my Centerline 5 stars and it completely ruined the finish and had to send them back to centerline. I want to be real safe on 3K wheels, you know? RX
