Towels

I went to Bed Bath Beyond today looking for towels for the weekend. Worrie d about getting swirl marks. Going to apply my first coat of Zaino Z2/Z6. Checked out Zaino website for recommendations...

I couldn't find the Fieldcrest towels..But they do have some 100% Egyptian Cotton loop towels. I could not tell which brand to get...They had Wamsutta and Grand Patrician towels. That one seemed soft, but I didn't know if Egyptian cotton was good since everyone saying to get 100% cotton. Is it the same thing? But from their sayings, it says that is the softest so I won't get any swirls... There was also some other towel made of MicroCotton. It seemed very soft and has anyone used this? It was called Suite Collection.

Can anyone recommend any towels they have bought and used from Bed Bath and Beyond?? Thanks!

I would just skip the cotton towels and buy some quality automotive detailing microfiber towels

I use microfiber too, mostly because it tends to absorb more water - that said cotton towels can be really good. Remember, before mf cotton was the way to fly, and many detailers still use cotton because it works. I can't really say much about the towels linked without feeling them but I will say this - make sure there is no polyester threading on the edges, and that the middle area is cotton too, and not poly. Polyester is pound for pound tougher than steel, it will scratch your paint. That goes for the edges of mf towels too.

High quality microfiber towels are the way to go. I use these ones and they are perfect for what I needed. They pick up wax/polish/interior cleaning no problem, super soft, washable, durable. They wash clean and are good for over 300 washes, I can't say enough about them.

For drying, I use Pak Shak blue Waffle Weaves. They are absorbant and very soft. Plus, they have silk wrapped edges and will not scratch.

For removing waxes and other LSPs, my current favorites are the Poorboy's Mega Plush towels.

I am alsoa big fan of Cobra MF.

Avoid those cotton towels like the plague! To make a long story short...I went for almost 2 years swirl free (using MF towels from Griots) and one day when I was bored, I decided to find the cotton towels Zaino recos since I know they remove the zaino 10X's better then the MF. Well, I couldn't find the Fieldcrest or Cannon towels (I think they may be out of biz) so I opted for a Ralph Lauren 100% Cotton MADE IN USA towel.....Welcome swirls! Apparently, it doesn't matter what the labels say, even though it may say 100% cotton etc....it may not be! Ever since, I had swirls! PITA to remove!

Which towel on that link are you using and is one enough for one car wash? My microfiber towels unfortunately don't do that good of a job drying the car because they leave behind little hairs.
