question!

okay buds! i need your help! well not really help but your "ways". both questions are the same but just different products. how do i apply the klasse aio and the p21S wax? do i apply it with a buffer and if so where can i buy the correct pad for these products to put on my PC7424? or do i apply these products by hand and where can i get the correct "hand-pad"? i appreciate any information given. i can't wait to beauty up my black G and take pics.

I like to apply the Klasse AIO with my Porter Cable 7424 and apply it with a Lake Country White Polishing Pad. I highly recommend a velcro backing plate, which screws in to the Porter Cable so you can easily swap pads on and off. There is a Porter Cable kit that has all that stuff for $159.99. The P21S Carnauba Wax is an amaxing product that really enhances the depth and gloss of the paint. Its a great finsihing step that really makes your paint stand out. It comes with its own applicator and must be applied by hand.

The Sonus white or blue pad in your kit can be used for applying Klasse. Since you'll be going through the other polishes, seems like all you would want to use Klasse for is for its added protection? There should be no need to use all 3 polishes. You go with the least aggressive and check the results. If your car isn't too bad, Sonus SFX 2 I would think would be the most aggressive polish you use.

I apply my Klasse with the gray finish pads from Excel Detail (www.excel details). The pads are by Propel. The Klasse is mainly a chemical polish and thus I don't see any need for a firmer pad.

I'm wondering if you could go from sfx-1 to sfx-3. I have never ever wanted to do 3 steps of polishing. As for washing twice.. it's not really needed. As I clay I wipe dry/clean w/ an MF towel. Since I use a QD as my clay lube, this works great. Your process looks fine but if you can eliminate a few of the steps then you'll be good. As for sfx-1.. i'm not sure that's required for cobwebbing and minor marring. SFX-1 I believe is used to remove oxidation and more severe damage, heavy scratches, etc. Always start off with least aggressive, test a section, check your work. If that didn't correct it, step it up.
