Re: Bug and Tar Remover

I can tell you what has worked really well for me, though I don't know if it's the "best." Zaino's Z1 polish lok cleaner--which you apply before Z2, Z5, or Z6. Also, I switched from Z1 to Zaino's new accelerator (which you mix with Z2 or Z5 so you don't have to use Z1) and I was amazed at how well it removed bugs and tar.

I've also used mineral spirits in the past for really tough bits of tar, but then you have to rewax or repolish.

Re: Bug and Tar Remover

To remove bugs and stuff I use Presta Chroma 1500 Compound. It's really easy to use and it's hard to screw up (I have a black G).

Thanks - Joey Avino

Even better, just soak them. Soak, soak, soak, and bugs will be gone in seconds. This is the best way to avoid scratches or swirl marks, especially with our sensitive paint.

Re: Bug and Tar Remover

To add to Zorro's idea, Zaino the car first, and the bugs practically jump off. I just wash the car, nothing special needed, not even a bug scrub cloth, just the lamb's wool mitt. Of course washing frequently will help too.
