zaino vs crystal guard
Re: zaino vs crystal guard
there is tons of debate over this, its been debated MANY times on this forum, lets just say there is no clear and cut choice, both work great. Just get the one that fits you more.
since time and money are non-restricting factors for you, i would choose Zaino. But make sure you do the application in the correct order/manner. Dedicate an entire weekend for your Zaino project.
Im a firm believer in CG, but thats because i am tight on time. Takes me only about 45 minutes to wash and CG the entire exterior.
Also note, Both products have proven longevity interms of shine, however, i think Zaino has proven its protective capabilities moreso than CG. This is because CG is a relatively new product whereas Zaino has been around for many years and thus has been put to many weathering and comparison tests. I have yet to see CG put up to 3rd party comparison tests.

Re: zaino vs crystal guard
thank you very much and i decided on gettin CG after I've seen some pictures
i have one question though
since CG isn't wax or polish ,is there a slight chance that it might hurt the paint job

Re: zaino vs crystal guard
Hey no prob man, CG wont hurt your paint job if you follow the application directions. Basically its liquid glass, so you have to make sure you apply it with water and do not use too much pressure when spreading the product onto the body panels. Also, always use a microfiber cloth, you can buy them online or at your local auto retailer or large supermarket retailer (Meijers, Super KMart) 3 for $6 (TurtleWax brand)

Re: zaino vs crystal guard
get the "Crystal Gaurd-Quick" bottle, its $50 but if you call them and tell them your from the G35driver forum then they might give you a 10% discount or something.....
You dont really need the CG Wash unless you have the PRO kit.
The PRO kit (primer, base, and top coat) only needs to be applied ONCE in your vehicle's lifetime, but when you wash the car, you should use CG Wash and once a year you have to use CG Quick to replenish the original coat.
That is option #1.
Option #2 (this is what i do and what was recommended to me by them):
Buy a bottle of CG Quick and 1 application will last you 4 months supposedly, but i do it every 2 months to be safe. It doesnt hurt because the car only gets shiny'er. The $50 bottle will last for 6-10 application, depending on how experienced you are with the product. "A little goes a long way" with CG.
I recommend going with option#2 as stated above, unless you are a professional detailer and work in an autoshop and have access to air toolz then go with the PRO kit.
