Which is products is best when cleaning a my coupe?

I just went to get me car wash today (no automatic car washes, only hand detailing) and I told one of the workers my regular since they knoe me. My IP was really dirty. So 1 hour later I go back to pick up my car and by the door it still has spots, tried touching them to see if it was scratched but it wasnt. They guy told me they didnt wax it. Does the wax really do that much deffirence? Even though I always put it I just think it made it smoother, will that take away all the little things a regular hand wash wont??

No. A wax should not remove anything that a good wash does not. A wax is typically a last step product put on a previously cleaned foundation. A cleaner wax is arguably a different beast. Polishing after the wash might help to bring out the paint a bit but is in no way a method of removing dirty spots.

This will be moved. There is some good info in the detailing section as well as on sites like www.autopia.org
