Quote: hi i am new to this forum. i tried searching for my problem but i could not find it. i have a black g35, and i was told that it was better to wax with the paint, so in this case in lines. this is due to waxing in swirls, it will show up in the paint. can someone clear this up for me? thanks.
Your NOT supposed to wax in swirls, your supposed to go back and forth.

Related question, how about an orbital machine vs. straight waxing by hand?

I find paste wax is easier by hand and liquid sealants and waxes are easier by PC. Either is fine.

yup, circles are bad. what is important is that you do the same lines every time you wash. another helpful tip is wash from top to bottom. a lot of the crap on the car is on the sides and near the street. washing from top to bottom allows the wash mitt to stay as clean as possible till the end.

g35lin has some sort of orbital buffer from meguiars. that thing is AWSOME! you lose a bit of clear coat, but man the paint is flawless after you go over the surface with one.
